About the foundation

ETNOS Foundation was established on September 26, 2018 as an initiative of two young enthusiasts of social research. The main activity of the institution will be publishing articles on the variety of the Middle East.

The turning point of the recent Middle East was the period of violent changes during the so-called Arab Spring, in 2011. People's movement across the MENA area gave hope and belief in better futture, but eventually only destabilized the region, which is mosaic of nations, cultures and languages. Along with the appearing of the ISIS terrorist group, many priceless monuments and artefacts have disappeard or have been sold and gone.

Our private experience from the region was the base for establishing of the foundation. We will try to share our insights and knowledge about the beautiful region fo the Middle East.

Main aims of our activities are as below:

• Conducting research on the cultural and social diversity of the region;
• Documenting of the changes that occur in today's societies in the Middle East;
• Spreading facts about the area;
• Active initiatives on preservation of the regional beauty and richness.
